Dr. Elizabeth Johnsen (formally known as Dr. Betty Callen) is very happy to announce that she has practiced in Bellingham, Washington for over five years. Before that she practiced in Denver for ten years, following three years of practice in Nevada and California.

She holds a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California, an Advanced Certification in Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP), ScoliBrace Provider, Masters in Scoliosis, and a Bachelors Science degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.

Dr. Elizabeth Johnsen has a passion for helping people with scoliosis. She can help you, or someone you know, to improve their posture, have better flexibility, be in less pain, and most important, have more energy to do the things you love to do in life!

"Chiropractic care isn’t just for those with acute back pain," advises Dr. Johnsen. "Everyone can benefit from a visit to a chiropractor for a spinal check-up." The Spine and Scoliosis Clinic sees patients of all ages and with a variety of needs.

A few of the common problems treated here at the Spine and Scoliosis Clinic are child and adult scoliosis (curvature of the spine), kyphosis, headaches, migraine headaches, TMJ, neck pain, mid-back pain, and lower back pain and poor posture.

Chiropractic care comes in a variety of forms and techniques. Dr. Johnsen uses a highly specialized chiropractic technique called Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP) in combination with Scolibrace Protocols and SEAS (Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis). This technique is intended to restore the normal alignment of the spine and to correct structural problems of the nervous system. More Information at Chiropractic Biophysics, and ScoliCare .

"We start with an analysis of your posture, using X-rays to confirm any strengths or weaknesses of your spinal structure," explains Dr. Johnsen. "The treatment that follows is gentle and careful. No sharp movements or twisting, no painful adjustments, just gradual results . . . and a higher quality of life. Think of it as orthodontics for your spine."

The Spine and Scoliosis Clinic is also an educational center.

Dr. Elizabeth Johnsen and TEAM are dedicated to teaching proper nutrition, healthful diet (including cleanse and restore programs for the gut: TYG = Trust your Gut!), and positive living habits using essential oils.

Come and join one of their wellness workshops on essential oils, scoliosis 101 workshop, and other topics providing health and healing information.
